Happy Valentine’s Day!

We went out for a traditional VDay meal: Mexican! Of course, we went to our local favorite place, Calavera. Unfortunately , it is also in mourning for Mariah’s, our favorite back in Grffll’s, because Mariah’s closed after 29 years.

And to finish the meal a nice little panorama.

I also give the Dailylife Wife a couple other little things, including an Airta…, errr, a CLONE of an Airtag. Much cheaper! At $6 we can afford to try it out before buying a bunch of them.

It seems to work.

The Dailylife Wife made pot roast tonight in the Instantpot!

Because the new update to my Mac Mini it won’t let me use my Adobe Photoshop Elements, I am “editing” in Preview; yeah, I didn’t realize you could do that either! It is a light edit, but it is working for now. Preview has a “Remove Background” button. I haven’t found out how to adjust the selection it uses yet, so here it is!

I had to take out the trash, and while it is a very un-spectacular sunset for colorful clouds and such, it is a very nice light. The new car!

And two different views of the front office, each from a different photo. I am not sure which one I like the best.

We got our Starlinkbox and a few associated bits and I spent yesterday making it all work!

But wait…what is that one the box? It appear to be footprints. Hmmm…No apparent damage.

I took the actual antenna out so you can see what’s in the box. The antenna is about 12” x 18”, and 15? lbs. Left bottom is the router; left top is the power supply; top right is the power cord; that big elongated circle on the bottom right was where a 50ft network cable to plug the antenna into the router was.

We put the antenna up on the slide roof. It is a pretty clear view in all directions. I restrained the cable hanging down some. We got a special network cable that you can close a window on to get it into the trailer. I had to turn the antenna around. It is facing south here, and the Starlink orientation app said it had to be facing north.

Once inside we plugged the router and power supply into power and the network through-the-window cable adapter. There is a convienient space on top of the valence or whatever is over the window shade. We got a plastic rack for the router and power supply from Amazon to sit on top, shelf like.

Finally, proof it is working. It wasn’t the easiest thing I have installed for computers, but it wasn’t too bad! No dropout, glitches or spinning circles yet!
