Day 094!

After all of the excitement driving home and seeing the Dailylife ‘Rents, here is a step back to our built-in bird blind down in Clarkdale.

April Fool’s Day in /\/\onTana!

Day 093!

The next day he was snoozing after his breakfast.  He had a milk, orange juice, coffee, and hot chocolate on his tray!

He also ate 2/3 of his sloppy joe at lunch!  He didn’t eat that much when he was still healthy!

This was a quick trip to see him, and then it was back to Grff’lls!  Of course, going over Marias Pass on US2 there was a ten-twenty mile stretch of 35MPH bad road…just the eastbound lane.  It was like they shaved off the pavement on that lane and just left the potholes, mud and ruts!  The westbound lane (which we drove in a fair bit!) was fine.

Once over the pass, it seemed to…stick…the parking lot of the convenience store in East Glacier has done the same thing as US2 did, also!

Hard to believe I had washed it three days earlier.

Down the hill and you are almost home when you can see the UBM windmills!

Day 092!

I spent the next afternoon with Dad.  He is doing good, basically, but his short term memory is a bit lacking.  He also can’t really see well enough to run the controllers.  He did enjoy most of his breakfast!

It is a nice room.

This is Scott.  He is one of the aides who get them up and moving here.

No collusion here…great minds think alike!

Day 091!

So after a day at home it was up to Kalispell to see the ailing Parents!  Rogers Pass.

North of Seeley Lake.

Swan Lake.

Daisy, the Dailylife Sister’s dog!

The Dailylife Sister!

The Dailylife Step Mom…the shiner is from when the Dailylife Grandpop tripped over her and “started” this shebang.

Here he is, bored out of his gourd, recuperating from a new hip.

And…it was snowing when I got back to the house.

A little history!

A stereoptic card from Yellowstone National Park’s Lone Star Geyser:  It is 3D if you can focus your eyes on the separate images!

Day 90! Home at Last!

We headed out for home not too early.  We tanked up in Idaho Falls.  North of there we must have seen 30 hawks or more in a ten mile stretch.  Shortly after that we saw ten to fifteen bald eagles in a ten mile stretch.  Then nothing more all the way back home!

It was pretty deep snow going up Monida Pass.

It did lighten up some on the snow as we neared Dillon.

After gassing up in Rocker, we actually got just a little bit of snow flurries in the canyons north of Deer Park.  You can’t see it here…

It is always good to be back to see the Sleeping Giant north of Helena.

The Trailer needs a wash!

So does the truck…

You know you are close when you can see the United Building Materials windmills!

I grabbed a quick photo of one I want to go back and get with my Digital Mirrorless!

All the windmills from one end!  Here is an enlargement:

And finally: the edge of Great Falls!  From left to right: the Airport, the Airport Hilton (County and Regional jail), new truck wash water tower, Bish’s RV where we bought our home-away-from-home.  Just down the hill and the length of tenth to Home!

Day 089!

(I am only ten days behind at this point, but we made it back safely and I have been to Kalispell twice since then!)

A beautiful view from the St. George KOA first thing in the morning.

On the long road to Salt Lake City.

The Dailylife Wife’s favorite Utah haunt!

North of Ogden we hit a small traffic jam…the entire north bound lane was closed by a two-semi one car accident for several hours.  Approaching the scene:

We got off early and with only minimal road congestion…it only took an hour and a half or so to go ten miles via US 89 as a frontage road.

After we cleared the wreck and got some dinner there were repeated herds of deer along the road.  This was about the smallest group.  We probably saw a hundred all together.

The vastness of northern Utah and southern Idaho.  We successfully made it to the KOA in Pocatello.
