Day 115

A quick break at the rest area in the valley (if you drive I-15 out of Great Falls you know where it is!) and a beautiful (???) sunset photo!

Day 114

The sunset clouds out on the prairie on the way home were wonderful!  There is a rainbow forming in the middle of these, going up sharply.  It was easier to see in person.

What you don’t see here is the second one trying to form from that squall to the right of the rainbow, behind the telephone pole.

One more, just because!

Day 113

After a good visit with the Dailylife GrandDad and the Dailylife GrandMom, I headed back.  In Bad Rock Canyon between Columbia Falls and Hungry Horse there is a spring coming out of the mountain.  When my Mother lived in Martin City without running water she would get her water here.  Some people say this is the best water in the Valley, and will come from all ends of it to at least get water for their coffee.  While this guy is filling some buckets, when I came through in the morning (no photos…too much traffic!) there was a truck backed up to the pipe spilling the water.    He had the pipe into the topper on his truck and was filling some large container directly from the source.

More of the construction on top of Marias Pass, looking the other way.  The previous photo is from about half a mile ahead.

Once out on the prairie the sun gave off some wonderful coloring.  The shadow makes the Honda Pilot look like a VW Beetle…

Day 112

I found these at the Prestige assisted living where my StepMom is living now.  I would be able to spend many quiet afternoons binge reading Louis L’Amour!

Day 111

I took another trip up to see the Dailylife Grandpop.  You can see Chief Mountain in this panorama!

(What?  Where?)

Maybe a bit better in this one.  It is that little dark point on the far right end of the mountains.

The road over Marias Pass is still under construction.  I haven’t seen any workers yet, just stripped pavement.

Dad is getting better, and his Bells Palsy is less every time I see him, but he isn’t happy with his progress: too slow!  He did like his watermelon.  He says they have great watermelon at the Retreat!

I got my brother on Facetime so we could all be together.  No idea about the color…  Next trip Dennis and I will be there and get my sister on Facetime.

Day 110

I had a package of crackers and peanutbutter and found the strangeous thing….Their machine had done too many layers!

They looked in focus on my cellphone screen…I never had a triple before!

Just something a little different.

Day 109

The Dailylife Grandpop was looking pretty good.  The side of his face is droopy from “Bells Palsey” which is a virus.  He is getting better slowly.  The Pirate Patch helps.  Somehow.  I found him sitting up playing solitaire at the table.

After exercise he went to lunch.  Most of the food is pretty good, but he was unimpressed with the chicken sandwich.  It sounded like most of the residents and staff were unimpressed also.

I took leave after his afternoon exercise started, and went over to talk to the Dailylife Stepmom.  She said she was finally done working on the house and just wanted to rest.  She has been non-stop since her stoke at the start of the week from hell five weeks ago.  This is a panorama of her apartment, and hopefully Dad’s soon.

Driving back it wasn’t snowing!  But there was a ten minute wait at the construction on Marias Pass.

After I got out on the prairie it was a nice golden late afternoon sun.  Right up until sunset, when it started to rain.

All in all not a bad trip.

Day 108

I made a day trip to Kalispell to see the Dailylife Grandpop.  The trip up was exciting while being uneventful.

Here is more of the Rocky Mountain Front, behind Browning.

The weather was a changin’!  Glacier National Park.

Approaching East Glacier.

AMTRAK running though the snow towards Points East.

“Just runnin’ down the road trying not to lose my load…”  (Apologies to the Eagles!)

Day 107

I made a day trip tp Kalispell to see the Dailylife Grandpop.  The Rocky Mountain Front was glorious!

A two photo panorama!

Day 106

I made a day trip to Kalispell to see the Dailylife Grandpop.  A good trip, but the wet streets on my return netted a few colorful photos…

Not great focus, but there ARE limits to what you can do with a cellphone while driving in traffic in the rain…
