Day 51

An alternative “V” for the February/Alphabet thing the Camera Club has going on.  The Verde River.  That black hill on the left is the tailings from the numerous mines in the area…I am not sure I would want to swim in this river! ~Curtis, south of /\/\onTana! {!-{>

Day 50

This is the Verde Canyon Railroad.  I have ridden it!  It runs about 20 miles up into the canyons, then it goes through a tunnel, before heading back.  that was after dark, and the stars would rotate as the railcars moved around the curves…Spectacular! This was take for the February/Alphabet thing the Camera Club has […]

Day 49

A selfie with a favorite beer: Kilt Lifter!  The first time I had it down here it was summer, well over 100F, and the Kilt Lifter was brewed in Seattle…now it is Winter, barely breaking 60F, and the Kilt Lifter is brewed in…Tempe? ~Curtis in one of /\/\onTana!’s southern parking lots…{!-{>

Day 48

Sunset one night, down near Camp Verde.  Cellphone panorama! ~Curtis, way down south of /\/\onTana! {!-{>

Day 47

This is a Verizon Tree.  Note the cellphone antennas near the top.  This is done to “camouflage” the “tree” and make it blend into its surroundings.  The first one of these we saw was on Kauai, and even though it stood much taller than the surrounding trees, it blended in better.  Maybe because there WERE […]

Day 46

The Dailylife Wife.  This was taken for the February/Alphabet thing the Camera Club has going on. ~Curtis, way down South of /\/\onTana! {!-{>

Day 45

More neat sunrise photos, or rather one photo in number of ways…This was taken over my well used but still shiny tonneau cover on the back of my truck. ~Curtis, way down below /\/\onTana! on a map! {!-{>

Day 44

A beautiful sunrise with snow capped mountains…it got into the low 30s even! A cellphone panorama: click on it a couple of times to enlarge it; BACK to return! ~Curtis, way south of brisk and breezy /\/\onTana! {!-{>

Day 43

I have the Night Sky app on my new iPad.  It is an excellent astronomy/star chart program.  A couple of nights ago I got a notice that the International Space Station was going to be going by!  It did.  Quite impressive as usual.  Here is a photo from the iPad.  It actually looks a bit […]

Day 42

We are doing a photo a day (a PAD, kind of like this blog ends up being) in the Great Falls Camera Club this month.  February 1st was a photo to start with A, the 2nd B, and so on.  Well, for “I” I was going to use this Incredible Big Rock, but it didn’t […]
