Day 230

My truck FITS in the garage, but there is about two inches on each end.

You have to get out of the driver’s side before you close the garage door.

All closed up!

Day 229

After the two fires I had an unremarkable drive hime.  The DD#1 brought me a pulled pork sandwich for dinner and said we were going to get some significant hail, and that I ought to pull the truck into the garage.  It got windy and the rain started coming down!

Here is a cellphone panorama of the storm in front of the house.

I rained and blew and thundered, but there was never any hail…

Day 228

When I was south of Seeley Lake, just a couple miles shy of Clearwater Junction, I past two fires.  The first one was still very small and smokey, but there was no where to stop to photograph it.  This is the second fire, perhaps half a mile south of the first one.

After I turned east on MT200 I could see both fires.

I hope they can get them out before they spread.

Day 227

As I was almost back to the Dailylife ‘Rents house with my huckleberries, I got a call from the Dailylife StepMom:  Dad had suffered a stroke…but the symptoms she described didn’t sound like one.  Eventually I found the Emergency Room, where he was conscious and communicative.  They pumped him full of fluids, ran a bunch of tests, kept him overnight to get his blood pressure up, and let him out the next morning.  So it was some form of heat stroke/exhaustion.  Much better than an actual stroke!

Here I am waiting for them to find him an actual room for the night.  It took several hours.

My ‘Stache just peeks out on both sides of that mask.  I finally gave up and set the facial ID on my iPhone 13 to “with Mask”.  I miss the Home Button and its fingerprint reader…

Day 225

This is Hungry Horse Dam.

The Hungry Horse Reservoir run south from the Dam, and looks to be at full pool!

The large “thing” on the tree on the right side is the Osprey nest from the previous posts.  The mountain in the middle is Great Northern Mountain.

Here is looking north towards the Dam.

Day 224

I ran up to Kalispell to see the Dailylife ‘Rents for a few days.  They went to a picnic with some friends, while I hunted huckleberries for DD#1 and ran up to Hungry Horse and Martin City.  I swung by where my Mother lived in Martin City for a few years.  Down 1st Avenue (more like an alley…) from her old place I found some Minions.

I ran up to Kalispell to see the Dailylife ‘Rents for a few days.  They went to a picnic with some friends, while I hunted huckleberries for DD#1.  I ran up to Hungry Horse Dam and Reservoir.  Just past the Dam is an Osprey nest.  The Osprey looks a bit funny.  There is something off on one of his wings.
