Day 174

I made a Red Cross blood run today.  I almost made it back before sunset.  This van had pretty good headlights and no cruise control… Wallpaper sized! This is a two photo panorama.  Here is how it turned out in the PS Elements Panorama maker. This is just cropped to a rectangle. This is cropped […]

Day 172

Back down at the River, I caught this interesting exchange between a California Gull and a Double-Creasted Cormorant… @ @@ @@@ @@ @ I have no idea what that was about.  They had beens sitting on the water near each other, peacefully… ~Curtis in /\/\onTana! {!~-{>

Day 171: Down by the River this morning…Part 4!

I went down to the River after Sunrise this morning… A log? No, a Beaver! Bloop!  He went under. Just wait…there! He’s back! Ruddy Ducks in the Sun. A River Gull. A good morning art the River! ~Curtis in /\/\onTana! {!-{>

Day 167

A new import to the Barrow Backyard Bird Sanctuary:  a Eurasian Collared-Dove. They are a recent arrival from the Caribbean, and closely related to the Spotted Doves we saw in Hawai’i. This is the northwestern end of their new range. Handheld with my 400mm lens, 1/1500 second, ISO 200 and f5.6.  In less than ideal […]

Day 166

Lupine<?> in the backyard, compliments of the Dailylife Wife. No “artsy” settings, either.  Don’t think I even put it on “macro”. ~Curtis in /\/\onTana! {!-{>

Day 165

The Dailylife Wife likes flamingoes.  So we got one for the back deck.  It is pink and lights up.  So here it is in black and white.  And you can see the lights… Also an “artsy” setting on my new camera: grainy black & white. ~Curtis in /\/\onTana! {!-{>

Day 164: An Afternoon With ‘Stache!

He does like his Playdo. Taken with my new camera on an “artsy” setting. He has been very happy since he figured this part of the swing out so he could do it by himself. Think this is a cheesy photo? Not hardly… ~Curtis in /\/\onTana! {!-{>
