17 Mar 26!

We were out shopping and I found this dastardly little gem.  Quite evil, indeed.  Not sure I want to tell the grandkitters; I think I want it all for myself!

16 Mar 26!

Driving North on Arizona 89A towards Sedona.  It is about 15 miles from here in the little gap to the right of center.

15 Mar 26!

While most of the sunsets have been lacking around Clarkdale, compared to that first year, the sunrises can’t be beat!

Day 26073! 14 Mar 26!

The next morning it was breakfast at First Watch in Scottsdale.  A bit high brow, but pretty good!  And the coffee was marvelous!

Then we ran our way back up to Clarkdale a day early.  The hotel was an older place under new ownership and they were trying, but they need more help desperately.  The elevator didn’t work, and we checked in a good 45 minutes or more AFTER we got there.  The thrill was gone.  So ends the Dailylife Wife’s Birthday Trip to Tombstone, Whitewater Draw and Bisbee, Arizona!

Day 26072! 13 Mar 26!

Well, it actually was the 6th of March when I took these photos!  Happy Birthday Dailylife Wife!

Back to “membership hath privilege”.  Yes indeed, Red Robin for the birthday dinner!  Between traffic and the holdup in Tucson visiting the Indian dealer and a dress shop (with a Starbuck’s next door thankfully!) and finding out that the hotel was on the wrong side of Phoenix from where I thought, and the place not being ready for us even after 5pm it was Red Robin.  Fortunately we both like Red Robin.

Interesting wall art!

The Birthday Girl waiting for a nice dinner.

Day 26071! 12 Mar 26!

Picacho Peak!  There was a huge flower outburst last time we were down here.

Day 26070! 11 Mar 26!

The next morning it was breakfast at the Longhorn!  Mine was good, the Dailylife Wife’s upset her later on…

Madeye Moody!

Actually it was pretty good.

Something happening down there…

Only a stage coach going by!

One more for a bit of color!

Day 26069! 10 Mar 26!

On the way back down to Lowell, is the Bisbee Pit.  It looks like it is on the order of the Berkley Pit…maybe…

Bisbee is most definitely  a  mining  town!

A nice pit!

But they have a long way to go before it is filled with toxic sludge like our’s!

Day 26068! 09 Mar 26!

Up the hill from Lowell is the actual townsite of Bisbee.  I was driving, so the Dailylife Wife took the photos…and they not only did not transfer from her memory card to her iPad, the self deleted off the card!  Not recoverable by me, at any rate.  So here is our lunch stop in Bisbee, at Bisbee Badassery!

Good burgers!

We took the outdoor dining option, rare for us.  Nice!

As you can see, Bisbee is built on hillsides.

The only restroom has good advice for most people:  Watch Your Step!

Nice town, Good Eats!

Day 26067! 08 Mar 26!

We checked out the Whitewater Draw again to not many birds.  So it was off to Bisbee!

Bisbee is an old (and not so old) mining town.  Lowell was a small town near Bisbee, but now part of it.  There isn’t too much current business evident, but they left the buildings up with historical window art.

As you can see they left some cars and a couple of Greyhound busses, too!

Fun stuff!
