Day 031

We had an interesting assignment at the Camera Club last week:  Tweak a bad or uninteresting photo.  The photos were provided by one of the members, Norm, and here are the two Toots and I got: I got the one on the left…I cropped it to a vertical, and because I couldn’t do anything I […]

Day 365

On the last day of the year I went out early to catch the sunrise.  I got the Moon first! This is with my 75-300L lens, at 300mm. And this is that same lens at 300mm with a 2x teleconverter, making it a 600mm.  This one is resized to fit my 1440×960 format I mostly use […]

The problem most people have with the Moon in photos is […]

Day 291

The Great Falls Camera Club made a Saturday morning trip to Giant Springs! Plants growing in the Spring’s outflow. The “misty” looking water is caused by using a very slow shutter speed. ~Curtis in /\/\onTana! {!-{>

Day 241

Well, the smoke of a thousand forest fires blew into town today, bringing this red, red Moon with it.  I had to resize it down to 75% to get the craters sharp.  The smoke is not a sharpening enhancement. ~Curtis in /\/\onTana! {!-{>
