The new carwash on 10th was giving away their top of the line carwash for free! So I got the truck done…it really looks sharp…it should for a $39.95 wash job!

The Dailylife Daughter #2 came home for a whirlwind weekend Christmas…she was going to her husband’s family this year. We went down to the Kellargeist for lunch. Draft Bitburger beer…oh so good!

We had an “early” Christmas diner of ham and whipped cream…here is the latter…

And the dinner!

Then a tearful goodbye on Monday!

I haven’t (quite) told her she is getting a new sewing machine for Christmas…I am giving her a treadle Singer I found for $50…cleaned right up and works great! the Dailylife Dad (the former Singer Man in the Flathead) said the serial number places it at pre-1900…

The topic for the Great Falls Camera Club this month was “Nostalgic” or something like that…
This is the Ruger Security Six .357 Magnum my Mother carried as the first licensed backpack outfitter in the State of Montana!

This is my Dad with two of the revolvers his Dad gave him when he moved into “assisted living” (next post). The small one is a Smith & Wesson Perfected Model 38 Double Action Top Break Revolver .38 S&W Long from between 1909-1920.
The other one is a Smith & Wesson Model 1905 Military & Police Hand Ejector Revolver in .38 Special that almost all of the Smith and Wesson revolvers have been based on since the early 1900s!

The topic for the Great Falls Camera Club this month was “Nostalgic” or something like that…This is my Grandfather on Dad’s side, when he was a bit younger! He moved into what we now call Assisted Living in Whitefish in the early 1970s…he was born in 1884 or 1887!!! This Smith and Wesson Model 30 in .32 Long is what he had Dad buy him to keep under his pillow at the Golden Ager Manor (?) after he gave Dad his other guns…how times have changed! (The speed strips and grips are mine!)

The topic for the Great Falls Camera Club this month was “Nostalgic” or something like that…I learned 35mm photography on an Argus Matchmatic, a fancy version of this Argus C-3. The lens on this camera is the one I use with my Canon Digital cameras from time to time as occasionally seen here. This one dates from the early 1950’s, I think. Older than me by a little bit!

I went to lunch at the Roadhouse here in Great Falls, with two of my friends. Not quite on our recommended diets, but they sure were good!

A buffalo herd just east of Browning on the Blackfoot Nation, south on US89. Lots of buffalo, perhaps the most I have seen in one place!

Blowing snow east of East Glacier on the way back from Kalispell with Avis. I drove an Infinity back…probably the second sedan I would be willing to own!
