Day 141

We took advantage of being in Bozeman to steal a quick trip into Yellowstone National Park before all of the Summer Crowd arrive…

Gas-up Selfie the night before!

Looking into the Park at 12mm!

And again!

There is a new place to eat in West Yellowstone…

Once in the Park we decided to visit Old Faithful Geyser.  And immediately hit traffic.  3.8 miles in just over an hour.  I think it was some kind of construction.

So we finally turned around and headed north towards Norris.  A big crowd was pulled over for…

He was quite close to the road.  All of the asian tourists there (and there were a bunch in the Park Sunday!) were chanting it was a wolf…

I am leaning towards coyote, myself.  {!-{P

There were resting Bison near Twin Lakes?

And of course, it was raining by then.  A closeup of the birds on their backs.  Click on it a couple of times to see it larger.  BACK to return here!

Some steam pot or another…

Norris Geyser Basin in one.

Wildlife Jam.

***

Obsidian Cliffs.

Through the Golden Gate above Mammoth Hot Springs.

Northbound Elk in Mammoth.

All in all a nice day in Yellowstone.  A good trip overall, and The Outback has marvelous Baked Potato Soup!
