Day 247

I am getting ready for a Bike trip, so I replaced my lower driving/fog lights with LEDs (The bright blue/white lights at the bottom).  There is some vibration there, and the regular bulbs don’t last.  These better…$25 each… A “moving” view of both lower and middle lights. Another view, after dark… ~Curtis in /\/\onTana! {!-{>

Day 246

A few more from last night’s Moonrise…even though it looks like the sun… * * ~Curtis in /\/\onTana! {!-{>

Day 245

After Moonrise with a finger of cloud. ~Curtis in /\/\onTana! {!-{>

Day 244

Sunset over Great Falls…or it was an hour or so before…since the smoke cleared out a bit today! A rare view of the Highwood Volcano during an eruption… A mini-me earth-egg coming from the Volcano… ~Curtis in /\/\onTana! {!-{>

Day 243

Sunset off of the Lanai on Maui! Here is the whole photo as taken (on my broken Nikon P7100!). Which do you like better? ~Curtis, long since back in /\/\onTana! {!-{>

Day 242

Another smokey Sunrise in /\/\onTana!  In eight photos… * * * * * (Note the two sunspots from Day 238 are still there in the upper right near the edge of the Sun.) * ~Curtis in /\/\onTana! {!-{>

Day 241

Well, the smoke of a thousand forest fires blew into town today, bringing this red, red Moon with it.  I had to resize it down to 75% to get the craters sharp.  The smoke is not a sharpening enhancement. ~Curtis in /\/\onTana! {!-{>

Day 240

Toots and Lugnut head back to school!  3rd and 2nd grades.  And they had a great first day! Photo by Dailylife Daughter #1! ~Curtis in /\/\onTana! {!-{>

Day 239

A grain elevator in Fife.  You can see the sunspots pretty good here, too. ~Curtis in /\/\onTana! {!-{>

Day 238

The smoke makes for a good way to observe the sun with your naked eye, or in this case camera, as well as illustrating the difference between lens focal lengths.  (Don’t stare at it with a telescope or binoculars…) This is 300mm, 100% crop. This is 400mm, 100% crop. And this is just another photo […]
