Looking north towards Sedona in the late afternoon.
A one photo panorama. Click on it a couple times to enlarge it; BACK to return!

Here is that Moonrise over Tuzigoot NM with my Canon M50 and 70-300mm L lens.
This is actually one end of the ruins at Tuzigoot. The main ruins are a bit higher, so I moved and got to watch the Moonrise all over again! But it was too dark to get the foreground exposed, and light painting the hillside sounds like a quick way to get unwanted attention from people with those “stinkin’ badtgees”, to paraphrase a Humphrey Bogart movie (Treasure of Sierra Madre). All those flashing lights just ruins your night vision!
So here is over the top of the ruins.
I will try to get a usable shot of both the moon and foreground (sans heavy editing) at the next full moon in a few weeks.

A little moonrise watching…
The constellation Orion is on the upper right corner.
Looking “back” at Tuzigoot Nat’l Monument.
These are all taken on my Apple iPhone 13. The newer cellphones have remarkable low light capabilities! But it still can’t reconcile a full moon and the landscape after it gets dark. The secret to getting good, clear, properly exposed Moon details? It is a DAYTIME photo, not a nighttime photo. The Moon is lit up with SUNLIGHT and has to be exposed for such. Otherwise you got the white blob shown here…
And here are a couple from the RV Park: our neighbors across the street with the ol’ white blob Moon…
…and our own humble abode!

Last night in the setting sun, was the rising Moon over Tuzigut National Monument!
I would call this one “heavily edited” because the moon is actually from another photo in this series. It is so bright it is very hard to get both it and landscape in the same photo after dark, other than the Moon as a white blob.

We were sitting in the Fry’s parking lot when some random guy walked over and stuck this duck on the door handle of the Jeep next to us.
The Dailylife Wife had heard about this practice/fad, called “ducking” online: leaving rubber ducks on Jeep door handles.
Even recycling them, I can see this costing a lot of ducks!

It rained last night, and it rained today. It may rain or snow tonight.
But I got to photograph another Red Tailed Hawk!
This is a view of our RV Park from across the Verde River.
A closeup of our trailer!
This is a bush/weed/somethingorother on the side of the roads down here. I thought I better get one before they close up of the season! Animated .gif is just a bonus!
