Man, did they ever have HOT coffee!
In Hoonan, or Icy Straight, we got off the ship to go on a whale watching tour.
There were lots of eagles and fun boats to see on the ride to our tour.

This is the municipal dock where our boat was. Â It is the last one on the right, farthest out. Â If you are a fan of Alaskan Reality TV shows, the boat on the far side of the dock, in the middle of the photo, belongs to a family roughing it in the bush. Â They are living in a local Lodge for the duration of the show. Â I don’t recall the name of the show, but there is a cannon on top of their boat!

The Amsterdam at the dock for cruise ships. Â When we were here three years ago we had to tender in (take one of the life boats) to get to shore.
Cruise ships are big business to thees little towns!
And a quick view inside of our boat. Â This is the same whale watching tour we took three years ago, and is not affiliated with the cruise line. Â We got much better viewing than the one’s through the ship did, both times!
