Day 128: The previously promised wave action…

As we left Lihue and headed for the Napali Coast, the bow waves from the NCL Pride of America were fascinating!  (All of the photos are wallpaper sized.)

Here is a 100% sized crop of the wave above.

The wind was blowing the top off of almost every wave.

It moved an amazing amount of water…and the ship itself was hardly moved up and down.

As you can see, Deck 9, where I shot these photos from our stateroom balcony, is fairly high up…nine floors or so!

Here is a series of four photos, all the same wave.  The perspective changes as the ship moves forwards at about 14mph.
