Day 129

After the great waves and sunset we had a quiet night, to awaken in Honolulu!

And another view.

Then it was off the boat under our own steam (and carrying our own luggage…quicker that way!) and off to the airport!  It was $9.95 for a whole day of internet at the airport…not the 40 cents a minute on the boat…

Then we were off in a plane and had to wait again.

Part of the busy airport.

Hey there’s our boat!  Wait a minute…its the one on the right…

Ahhh…a quick flight over to Kauai!

On approach to the Lihue Airport!

What’s that boat doing at our dock?

It is the Holland America Oosterdam.  Sorry about the fuzzy photos, but airplane windows aren’t always the clearest!

Safe on the ground at last.

Then it is into a rental and off to brave the wild Hawaiian traffic!

Pretty mellow, actually.  This is the part of Hawaii they don’t show you in the travelogues and brouchers…Overhead power lines everywhere!  Except for carefully selected vistas.

Then 30 minutes later (or so) we reach Princeville.  The photo is straight: the traffic circle (with alternate right-of-ways from normal) is built on a slope.

Round about and down the road, and finally:  Wyndham’s Bali Hia Villas!

Then it was nap time!
