Day 316: Vet’s Day 2003!

Way back then, six years ago, we had both daughters still in school, and actually owned a mini-van!

This muddy 2000 Honda Odyssey was the third of four we owned.  Despite the bad rap mini-vans get, we liked all four of them, including…

This 2003 Honda Odyssey we traded the white one in on!

Day31602

Of course, we can’t just get one car when we go down to that sweet talkin’ car dealer Kenny at Honda.  No, we also got this sweet little 1995 Geo tracker 4×4 hardtop for Kirsten.

Day31603

It lasted about a year until some idiot in a Ford F350 truck turned in front of her and Kirsten couldn’t stop in time to miss it.

Day31604

She did love that car, even though her input was not broadly asked for in it’s purchase…it got good mileage and it rode nice.  The 4×4 system, however, never seemed to work right in the snow.  after a great deal of research I found the problem: on 1995 Trackers they used an improper rubber bushing in the 4×4 linkage.  The rubber was too hard or something like that.  It wouldn’t let the 4×4 drive system engage when there was weight on the wheels.  If you put it on a lift, however, it worked fine while the wheels dangled.  I was about to make an appointment to fix that when the car was wrecked.
