Day 141: An Afternoon in the Barrow Backyard Bird Sanctuary…

A fun time with finches and doves…

I would say a female Lesser Goldfinch, but both my guides say this is well outside of its range.  So it is probably a female American Goldfinch.  It looks more like a Lesser to me…

Another view.

The squirrels got the top off this feeder and pretty much emptied it.  This house finch went inside to clean it out…

A red House Finch, a female House Finch, and a yellow American (Lesser?) Goldfinch.

And again.

A dove, the lone not-a-finch.

And a Bonus Photo from the Dailylife Wife:  She grabbed my camera and got an American Goldfinch.

All in all it was a nice time out on the old deck!
