Down in Hollywood Land there is a parade even ‘Stache wants to see!

Here is the beginning of the end: Mader!

And here is the ned.

Part of Hollywood Land is a foreshortened set with a few fluffy clouds for a backdrop.

Foreshortening is a method of compressing space from several blocks to a few feet.  You have to get the height and perspective in correctly, then you can show miles of street that are only a few feet deep.  From the ropes to the backdrop is probably 30 feet, if that.

Another veiw from farther back.  If not for the shadow of the palm tree, this would look pretty convincing, especially on black and white movie footage.  The dark blue is real sky.

Here is old Lugnut with his new trolley conductor’s hat with mouse ears.  He wore it the rest of the trip.
