One of the many stops on our trip to Glacier National Park was Sunrift Gorge, on the east side of the Going To The Sun Highway. Â I realized I had never stopped here before, because there is limited parking. Â The Gorge itself is a pleasant 100 yard walk up some stairs. Â It is a good walk on a hot day because when the breeze comes up out of the Gorge it provided natural air conditioning to the overlook.

The Sunrift Gorge itself is a bit of a surprise. Â It is just a knife cut in the rocks!

Looking back down at the highway you can see people looking over the various small waterfalls that come from the Gorge.
