Day 254

The dining room set:

Out with the old!  25 years of good service…and still going strong!  You can’t say that about the  chairs, however.  The wood and glue are both terminally dried out…

In with the new…prosthetic legs???

Nope, just a set of table legs.

All set up.  It is about 2/3’s the width of the old round one.  That sure makes for a lot more room in the end of the kitchen.

Here is something neat that I wish other manufacturers would do.  See that red ribbon?  It is attached to…

…all of the nuts, bolts and screws for the item in the box!

The bench goes together.

Complete!  Unfortunately, if you don’t leave the table out from the wall like this, the chairs won’t fit under the table on the ends.  So I put the bench in Daily Daughter v2.0’s old room.  This sure gives the grandcritters access to her bed!!!

This is how you wrap assembled chairs when shipping from Vietnam.  The grandcritters will love the box!

Parts to the two unassembled chairs.

The completed set.  A morning’s work.

There are two end pieces that will extend the table another three feet, at least!

The Daily Wife and I have eaten at the table.  It holds the food up!  You can’t ask too much more.

(The dining room set is from Cost Plus World Market.)
