North of Gardner there is a campground with lots of mountain goats.

So I saw most of the major mammals in Yellowstone, except for wolves and bighorn sheep. Â The sheep were there but moved off as I drove up…and they were as far away as that bear was!

All in all it was pretty nice day of wildlife photography. Â Of course being there during the weekend, and before Labor Day, means the roads were pretty empty in Yellowstone, which is always a bit plus!
