Day 255

While it does not match up with the day of the year in the post’s title, I took this a few minutes ago on the 31st of August.  It is the second full moon of the month, known as a “blue moon”.  The saying “once in a blue moon” actually means once every couple of years!  The next one is in 2015.

This is also the day Neil Armstrong was put to rest.  An appropriate day for his burial, to be sure.  The Armstrong family has expressed the wish that everyone go outside in the near future and wink at the Man in the Moon.  I did.  Now it is your turn!

This was the best of about 40 photos.  It was very windy (in Great Falls?  Surely You jest!) and I was taking the photos when the wind would die down enough that the tripos stabilized.  Not too bad.
