While it does not match up with the day of the year in the post’s title, I took this a few minutes ago on the 31st of August. Â It is the second full moon of the month, known as a “blue moon”. Â The saying “once in a blue moon” actually means once every couple of years! Â The next one is in 2015.
This is also the day Neil Armstrong was put to rest. Â An appropriate day for his burial, to be sure. Â The Armstrong family has expressed the wish that everyone go outside in the near future and wink at the Man in the Moon. Â I did. Â Now it is your turn!

This was the best of about 40 photos. Â It was very windy (in Great Falls? Â Surely You jest!) and I was taking the photos when the wind would die down enough that the tripos stabilized. Â Not too bad.
