Day 310

I was up above Bear Paw Lake in Beaver Creek Park, South of Havre, and met Lamont.

(1/250, f8, 400mm, ISO 250, -1/2 stop)

He didn’t seem as happy to see me as I was to see him.

(1/750, f8, 400mm, ISO 250)

Lamont seemed to try to run away once…

(1/500, f8, 400mm, ISO 250)

This was not an effective tactic since I sleep faster than he runs!

(A close up from the photo above, in case anyone was wondering about the north end of a south bound Porcupine, literally!)

Focusing was difficult.  His hair and quills look too much like the grass and it confuses the sensors in the camera.

(1/180, f8, 400mm, ISO 500)

Goodbye, Lamont.  See you in the Spring!
