I have been unable to drive myself (safely) because of my knee, which is getting better, by the way! I can walk around without a cane, but it is still really stiff and hard to get into and out of a car. So on this nice, sunny New Year’s Day, in the beautiful late afternoon light, I enlisted the help of Daily Daughter #2 as my driver, and we rolled and slid on down to the road between Giant Springs and Rainbow Dam. This is often a good place for wildlife, mainly waterfowl, but also the occasional eagle or two.
Here are two immature Bald Eagles playing around. These are 100% crops…I either need a longer lens or they need to fly on my side of the Missouri!

Note that these are over exposed by 1/2 stop. That is what you done to when there is a lot of snow in the photo, because snow lies to your light meter in your camera. If I had thought of it at the time I would have tried a full stop over, too.
