There is a nice little rest area between Fillmore and Cedar City I try to stop at. \u00a0On the way down with the trailer I just sat at a picnic table in the sun here for a while.<\/p>\n The Dailylife Wife here in her new Dailylife Chariot:<\/p>\n Between Cedar City and St. George the clouds can be intriguing.<\/p>\n Once you get to St. George you have to descend onto the Arizona Strip: 20 miles or so of rugged Interstate that cuts off the corner of Arizona. \u00a0There are two Arizona signs here… A few photos of the AZ Strip by the Dailylife Wife. \u00a0Too much traffic and twisty\u2019s to take my own!<\/p>\n Eventually we exited the AZ Strip with a few miles of Arizona, where we got gas at $2.25.9!!! \u00a0Then it was into Nevada at Mesquite.<\/p>\n An hour or so across the desert and there is Las Vegas in the haze.<\/p>\n A dash through Vegas and there is Lake Mead, created by Hoover Dam.<\/p>\n And here is a stunning photo of Hoover Dam! \u00a0Or it would be if they didn\u2019t decide it was safer with no-see-through sides on the new, post-9\/11 bridge. \u00a0Before that you could drive across it. \u00a0After 9\/11 you could still drive across it after your vehicle was searched. \u00a0Then they built this massive high bridge that you can\u2019t see anything from.<\/p>\n You can see the highway way down and gone in the rough country, though! \u00a0(A Dailylife Wife photo!)<\/p>\n Another \u201centering Arizona sign\u201d, #2 for today!<\/p>\n Rough country, then flat country and ROUGH roads, ending up in Kingman, AZ. \u00a0Not quite as rough as I40 from Kingman to Flagstaff…<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a> <\/a> <\/a> <\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
