We are off across the ocean again.\u00a0 Well, half way.<\/p>\n

It was a long boring wait, and the plane was full.\u00a0 They kept offering to check carry on’s through to the destination.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

That’s why mine is a carry on.\u00a0 I don’t want it checked through.\u00a0 Too much camera and computer.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Once nearing Seattle you could see the fire burning north of there.\u00a0 I love the rugged mountains.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Here is a little bit of Puget Sound.\u00a0 If you see a little orange tinge here it is air pollution.\u00a0 Way better than it used to be, I think.<\/p>\n

Once we were on the ground I saw a blue 747 Cargo jet.\u00a0 All of the passenger ones retired at the beginning of the Wuhan Plague Era.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

They still seem to be popular for cargo: another one landed as we waited to take off.\u00a0 Here is that blue one:<\/p>\n

It was a late flight.\u00a0 The sun was setting as we taxied to take off.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Here is the inside of a 737-800 (not a Max!) during take off.\u00a0 They turn off all of the lights.\u00a0 I think they are noisier than previous planes I have been on, even the one from Great Falls to Seattle.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>One last shot out the window as the sun set.\u00a0 I wasn’t by one, so I couldn’t see much outside…not that there is much above 30,000 at night.\u00a0 At least William Shatner wasn’t in my row…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

On the ground and waiting at Budget on Kaua’i, Hawai’i.\u00a0 They didn’t have the “Kia Soul or equivalent” that we reserved…so we had to take a Chrysler Minivan.\u00a0 Darn!\u00a0 Then is was a long, dark 45 minute drive to Princeville and our abode.\u00a0 Lots of construction, and never a spot above 50MPH…mostly 25.\u00a0 The instructions on checking in after hours leave a bit to be desired.\u00a0 We finally found a security guard and he got us squared away.\u00a0 Other than the half mile march (or so it seemed) from the parking lot, it is a nice place!<\/p>\n
