198"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After a nice, if somewhat rainy, drive to Kalispell and back for Avis I decided to try my new Olympus OM to Canon EF-M lens adapter. \u00c2\u00a0This adapter is a simple tube with the appropriate mounts at both ends, and leaves the lens completely manual while on the M2. \u00c2\u00a0This is actually a pretty good thing, since it is almost a totally manual lens* when on the Olympus OM cameras, too! \u00c2\u00a0Anyway I took my M2 and put my Olympus Zuiko 50mm F3.5 Macro on it. \u00c2\u00a0Then, as the sun was shining on some of the Dailylife Wife&#8217;s flowers, I hit the backyard.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This photo is resized only. \u00c2\u00a0These flowers appeared by themselves in the flowerbed, and she doesn&#8217;t know what they are. \u00c2\u00a0Pretty, though.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailylife.barrowroad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Day1619801a.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" interested in the differences between this and the EF-M 22mm F2.0 Canon lens, which is highly rated for the M2. \u00c2\u00a0Not quite a perfect comparison, since it is less than half as long as the look pretty sharp! \u00c2\u00a0I think the 22mm with some extension tubes will be quite a macro lens, but of course, Canon has just come out with an EF-M 28mm macro lens with a built in light for illuminating the subject.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">And now, most of our subject matter, via the 22mm.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a <strong><em>almost<\/em><\/strong>\u00c2\u00a0manual: the aperture stays wide open until you trip the shutter when on an Olympus OM camera, then it closes down the aperture, takes the photo and opens the aperture up again. \u00c2\u00a0This makes for a brighter image to compose with in the viewfinder. \u00c2\u00a0On the M2 you turn the aperture ring until it is where you want it and the image gets darker on the LCD screen. \u00c2\u00a0It stays there while you take however many photos you want at that setting. \u00c2\u00a0An adapter that would activate the aperture like on the OM cameras would
