262"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In planning this day had bothered me a bit because the road I wanted to take didn&#8217;t have gas pumps for 213 miles&#8230;not bad in a car, but a little beyond the normal range of my GoldWing. \u00c2\u00a0I decided I could do it if I kept it at 55mph. \u00c2\u00a0My mileage goes way up at 55, as it was the designed speed for my 1995 bike. \u00c2\u00a0If you recall, all of the roads were 55mph back then.<\/p>\n<p>The first 90 miles or so looked like it was going to rain, but by the time I reached Lakeview, OR, my jumping off point for the dry leg, it was looking a little better. \u00c2\u00a0I stopped for breakfast and had the saltiest ham and cheese omelet I have ever had! \u00c2\u00a0Still pretty good.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">At the restaurant in Lakeview.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailylife.barrowroad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Day1526201.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" was an interesting gas stop, too. \u00c2\u00a0The lock in my gas tank lid self destructed. \u00c2\u00a0Strange. \u00c2\u00a0It was still overcast as I set out on my dry leg.<\/p>\n<p cleared up the country got more remote. \u00c2\u00a0If you can see a diagonal line on that hill ahead, rising from left to right, that is my road, OR 140.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a
