Another view of the ships and the rain cover on the Duck.<\/p>\n Here, as we drive out of the water, another Duck drives in.<\/p>\n *<\/p>\n A nice selfie.<\/p>\n The Tip Duck…<\/p>\n I guess the Statendam didn’t like us docked next to her…a two photo panorama!<\/p>\n Then it was back onboard in time for our two hour feeding…{!-{P<\/p>\n A snubbing post between to portholes.<\/p>\n A lot of Alaska goes by boat. \u00c2\u00a0If you don’t have a boat, you probably use one of these. \u00c2\u00a0We left the dock at rush hour, and they were buzzing around like mosquitoes!<\/p>\n If it wasn’t made in Alaska, if probably came here in a shipping contained like these.<\/p>\n (A two photo panorama!)<\/p>\n This is the Ketchikan Airport. \u00c2\u00a0It is a five minute ferry ride across the channel. \u00c2\u00a057 people live on the island where the airport is. \u00c2\u00a0This is where that infamous “Bridge to Nowhere” costing $400 million dollars (to start…) was planned. \u00c2\u00a0Part of the cost was they had to make the bridge high enough for ships to go under. \u00c2\u00a0The Amsterdam only has 9 named decks. \u00c2\u00a0Some of the cruise ships now have 18… \u00c2\u00a0Someone figured out for the cost of that bridge, that no one here was crying for, everyone living on that island could have a new Gulf Stream II executive jet of their very own!<\/p>\n Ketchikan receding in the distance.<\/p>\n Like I said…<\/p>\n …rush hour…<\/p>\n …this was only a few of the ones flying by during the 20 mites or so I stood there!<\/p>\n Farewell, Ketchikan!
