The snow came down the ravine and scoured the sides.<\/p>\n

This is to the left side of the ravine. \u00c2\u00a0You can often see Mountain Goats here. \u00c2\u00a0They come of the salt and minerals in the rocks below the highway.<\/p>\n

All the snow went under the bridge, ending up in the Middle Fork of the Flathead River, blocking it for a time. \u00c2\u00a0You can see the dry river bed.<\/p>\n

You can see where it knocked over a tree, and almost took a second one.<\/p>\n

I don’t remember this gap in the bridge deck, where the two sides come together. \u00c2\u00a0Maybe it has been there all along. \u00c2\u00a0But you can now see through an inch to an inch and a half gap to the snow below.<\/p>\n

Some of the snow piled up to the right of the pile blocking part of the river.<\/p>\n

There is another highway bridge a half mile east or so. \u00c2\u00a0That avalanche didn’t make it under the bridge.<\/p>\n

The even snow at the bottom was piled up by the highway snowplows. \u00c2\u00a0Everything behind the reflector came down the mountain.<\/p>\n
