We went back down to Captain Andy’s Sunset Dinner Cruise on the South Shore, and on the way we stopped at the Spouting Horn again. \u00c2\u00a0The breaking water here is just waves hitting the shore.<\/p>\n

The Spouting Horn is a lava tube in the shore rocks. \u00c2\u00a0When the waves hit it the water is compressed and sent skyward like a geyser! \u00c2\u00a0There is some noise from it too. \u00c2\u00a0There was a much bigger one that a sugarcane grower dynamited many, many years ago. \u00c2\u00a0It would spray water a hundred feet into the air, and all that salt water would land on his sugarcane. \u00c2\u00a0Watch that little toot in front on the left.<\/p>\n

And the cycle repeats two or three times a minute, depending on the wave action. \u00c2\u00a0That also determine the hieght.<\/p>\n

I think this would be a better, if more distant, vantage point!<\/p>\n

When I first set up I had a couple settings on the camera off, as I had forgotten I had it on Monochrome from an earlier day.<\/p>\n
