I don’t know if these are to eat, roll you body on for a massage, make into slippers, or put a leash on it and take it for a walk. \u00c2\u00a0I was afraid to ask what they were. \u00c2\u00a0They are about 18 to 22 inches long…<\/p>\n
(It turns out this is Jack Fruit, and there is a tasty pod inside of it\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/span><\/strong><\/em>)<\/p>\n Across a big field and baskeball court is this nice old church. \u00c2\u00a0They park some of the cars from the Farmers Market there.<\/p>\n Either the Reverend or the Church is doing good for their age, and I didn’t see Reverend Goto anywhere around. \u00c2\u00a0One or the other has been going since 1834!<\/p>\n A four photo panorama of the inside, uncropped.<\/p>\n It does have some very nice stained glass windows.<\/p>\n Here is the church form the other side. \u00c2\u00a0It is very prominent on the main (and only!) drag in town.<\/p>\n Beyond the church is the grade school, with the copper roof. \u00c2\u00a0We aren’t sure what the white buildings in-between are.<\/p>\n This is one of the residential streets. \u00c2\u00a0There are several waterfalls on that mountain coming down the middle of the frame. \u00c2\u00a0Wires on poles are a constant in Hawai’i and Kaua’i..<\/p>\n If you looked left from near here, you’d see one on the typical or slightly nicer\/newer houses. \u00c2\u00a0This is a block from the Hanalei Bay Beach. \u00c2\u00a0Prices start at: \u00c2\u00a0One. \u00c2\u00a0Point. \u00c2\u00a0Two. \u00c2\u00a0Million. \u00c2\u00a0Dollars.<\/p>\n Traveling further up the road to the west is this nice view of a small beach. \u00c2\u00a0You park between the trees on the left side and you are there! \u00c2\u00a0Most of the beaches up here on the North Shore are that way.<\/p>\n We lunched at the Hanalei Colony Resort<\/a> Mediterranean Gourmet. \u00c2\u00a0Thankfully the fine Mediterranean cuisine included a hamburger with cheddar. \u00c2\u00a0This is a nice place to stay right on the beach, without a town around you. \u00c2\u00a0It is “remote” and about five miles from Hanalei.<\/p>\n Happy, happy! \u00c2\u00a0Joy, joy!<\/p>\n Very good ice water…<\/p>\n Very good root beer…<\/p>\n Very nice sangria…<\/p>\n All right beside the beach. \u00c2\u00a0They also have a luau.<\/p>\n (Okay, the six photos above were off my iPad Mini\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6)<\/p>\n We went out to the Lighthouse again to watch the birds. \u00c2\u00a0It is peaceful there! \u00c2\u00a0Here is the view on the way back.<\/p>\n A nice couple took our photo. \u00c2\u00a0Apparently, they have something against our feet showing…<\/p>\n Here is the same photo as a simulated infrared back and white…<\/p>\n After that we headed down the road towards Hanalei to a scenic view of the sunset.<\/p>\n Here are three more views with some fanciful editing…<\/p>\n *<\/p>\n *<\/p>\n Then we moved up to the golf course near the Bali Hai!<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
