About the fourth day of our seven day around Hawai’i cruise, we discovered the Lanai Buffet. \u00c2\u00a0This is the mostly outdoor extension of the main buffet where we ate. \u00c2\u00a0It was nice to sit and eat out there, except for the wind. \u00c2\u00a0One many occasions you had to hold your food on the plate or off it would go! \u00c2\u00a0Anything at all light (chips, breadsticks, lettuce) would be off in a flash. \u00c2\u00a0When it wasn’t blowing (such as when in port) it was delightful out there. \u00c2\u00a0The other thing interesting about eating onboard was the silverware. \u00c2\u00a0A set would be wrapped in a cloth napkin, and then set in stacks in the condiment tray on each table. \u00c2\u00a0No more racks of silverware to dig through. \u00c2\u00a0This was for inside and out. \u00c2\u00a0It helped to minimize the possible spreading of the Norwalk Virus, which has plagued many cruise ships in recent years.<\/p>\n

All of the food we had was good. \u00c2\u00a0The buffet was good and varied enough that we never ended up in the specialty restaurants. \u00c2\u00a0Some of them cost extra per meal anyway.<\/p>\n

All you could eat and drink (not alcohol or soda) was included in the ticket! \u00c2\u00a0These seat cushions were interesting. \u00c2\u00a0They were set vertically, and squeezed in tight to keep them upright and in place. \u00c2\u00a0Easy to fix and arrange, just a little garish in color.<\/p>\n

Desserts weren’t big, but they were good and you could have as many as you wanted.<\/p>\n
