<\/a><\/p>\nOut on the road we started with a nice rainbow…<\/p>\n
Of course, rainbows frequently come with…rain…this is the little road we were on. \u00c2\u00a0The Road to Hana comes complete with warnings against motion sickness and fear of heights! \u00c2\u00a0And one lane bridges, and corners you honk your horn on just to be sure it is clear…<\/p>\n There are some nice views of the coastline.<\/p>\n That is the road we are on coming down the hill…<\/p>\n There are a lot of waterfalls.<\/p>\n … … The last one was to the left of the middle one. \u00c2\u00a0It is coming out of a lava tube!<\/p>\n This is the little town of Nahiku. \u00c2\u00a0It was in a terrible storm a hundred years or so ago. \u00c2\u00a0A bunch of white coral from very deep in the ocean washed up on the beach. \u00c2\u00a0The residents built a church out of the coral, and as soon as it was done, another storm came up and washed the rest of the white coral back into the ocean. \u00c2\u00a0The Vatican has declared this to be a Miracle, and the little white Miracle church still stands.<\/p>\n (Click on the photo to enlarge; BACK to return!)<\/p>\n (This is a three photo panorama stitched together in Photoshop Elements)<\/p>\n ***<\/p>\n The cove at the Wai’anapanapa State Park and Cave.<\/p>\n (Click on the photo to enlarge; BACK to return!)<\/p>\n (This is a three photo panorama stitched together in Photoshop Elements. \u00c2\u00a0Unfortunately the horizon didn’t line up quite right.)<\/p>\n This is the Cave part of the Park: a lava tube you can go into. \u00c2\u00a0We did not have time during this stop to go down to the black sand beach or enter the tube.<\/p>\n \u00c2\u00a0 A tulip from an African Tulip Tree!<\/p>\n An African Tulip Tree!<\/p>\n We stopped at a flower farm.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a>…<\/p>\n<\/a>…<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
